Clone Wars 1.15
“Trespass”

I find myself with little to say about this episode. I can’t gush about it because I didn’t love it. Yet if I had to point out something I didn’t like, I’m hard pressed to point it out either. Maybe the character of Cho…but I’ll get into that.
The plot is fairly simple. Obi-Wan and Anakin lead a team of clones to support a delegation from a small outer rim world as they explore a colony whose outpost has been mysteriously silent. Led by their chairman Cho whose only desire is to claim the planet under his jurisdiction, they are quick to dicover that the Republic base is silent becuase everyone is dead. Likewise a local Separtist outpost is also deserted due to destruction.
But there are no blaster marks or dead droids in the Republic base and likewise no dead troopers in the Separatist base.
Although Cho is sticking to his guns about it being a Separatist attack, it is quickly discovered that it was an attack by a local species, named Talz who were riled up by their visitors.
There is a little action…a little philosophy…a little morality. But overall I felt kind of bleh about the episode. The character of Cho was so overzealous about the attack and then about the Talz being savage that he was really a cariacture rather than a character.
The ending where the young senator was able to woman up and get the Council to vote Cho down, and then broker peace with the Talz, was well intentioned but the whole sequence just was betrayed by everything that happened before hand. I can’t really think of how I’d change it, but it just left me feeling cold.
It’s not that the episode was bad. It was just mediocre.
