Ok, this is insane. I believe I will be able to say “I told ya so” when this is all said and done.

The scientist who is at the center of Climategate and whose raw data is “crucial to the theory of climate change” is recanting

Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming.

Now there is a whole lot of scientists suggesting that the earth may not be warming much at all

Many of these articles linked (Source 1 and Source 2) suggest that “warming recorded by weather stations was often caused by local factors rather than global change.” I believe I have said this before.

I also said that a major problem is that there is all of this funding created by the fear-mongering of environmentalist who blindly follow the propaganda of Al Gore Jr. If you think about it, the scientists received initial funding, but in order to retain funding had to show results. Fake the numbers, you get paid to continue your research. Even worse is that crap that has been pushed on everyone to follow the “green movement” in order for people like Mr. Gore, who is heavily invested in the so called “green energy” companies to make a lot of money and to afford to fly around in private jets and take limousines to their events. Follow the money. Liberals have told me to do so with former Vice President Cheney and his connection to Halliburton and their no-bid contracts, now it’s time for a big dose of your own medicine.

It’s really no wonder why when lawmakers are asked if they read a bill they answer “no”. I’m attempting to read through the health care “reform” bill and can’t seem to get to the bill because the definitions portion is a mind boggling length.

Meanwhile, there seem to be near riots at town hall meetings where people are meeting their congressperson and either asking questions or stating their opinion. While SEIU counters the protests with violence(Source and the administration makes comments like “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard,” (Source.) Is this administration upset that communities are organizing to protest against his health care plan? Seriously? How about the administration being upset that people are petitioning the government for a redress of grievances as provided by the constitution? Wasn’t the president a constitutional law professor?

Hey, here’s another protest that Code Pink should mount. It seems that “climate change” could warrant military action. Considering that there has been a big push for Darwinism to be taught in schools and “change” was the mantra of the 2008 election, I have to wonder why no one is embracing climate change or considering that we should be evolving to our ever changing world. I think that Hot Earthers(as opposed to the “flat earthers” who do not believe in this so called man made global warming madness) are discriminating against climate change. Shouldn’t we be concerned when change is embraced unless it is climate change?

Word for the day… Eugenics. Look it up, see where it comes from and how it relates to the progressive movement.

I have discussed this on the phatooine.net message boards until I am blue in the face, but is high fuel not the base problem of the economy right now? Let’s face it, gas is expensive and eating into the budgets of every American, raising the price of every commodity and product we as consumers use. As a business owner, I have had to raise my prices just to make a profit that is being eaten up by the cost of fuel. People talk about creating jobs, but the government only creates jobs by taxing everyone more, and then there is no guarantee that those jobs created will employ the people who had no jobs at the time, in fact it is probably quite the opposite. Don’t you think that if there was an opening for the person who is flipping burgers, they would have taken it by now? Sure, but they probably weren’t qualified for that government job. But I digress to showing how a good energy policy will help to create jobs.

Currently, we don’t have an energy plan in place except to import more and more oil while we sit around and do not explore and use what we have. We import from countries that are not very friendly with us for the most part. On top of that we are paying an exorbitant amount for a barrel of oil, even though the closing price on Friday was below $100 for the first time in 5 months.

Hurricane Ike has shown us that we have another problem besides the oil supply. We have a problem with refining. There are several refineries in the Houston Texas area and they had to shut down. Meanwhile some governors signed legislation to limit the increase of more than 10% this week to prevent price gouging. Considering that it has been around 35 years since the last refinery was built, we need more refineries as our demand has grown. So if a refinery is built in the U.S. someone will need to build it, right? Job creation. Once it is built people will need to work there, right? Once again, job creation.

Drilling for oil is another area. Whether it be for oil shale, offshore or in ANWR, we must be the only country whose leadership views natural resources as an environmental hazard. With new drilling techniques, it is possible to drill in a small area but have the horizontal and diagonal drilling that will do the same thing as having 10 oil rigs only drilling vertically. With a smaller footprint, there is a smaller environmental impact. If we have an energy bill that includes drilling, we need people to man the oil rigs, right? Job creation. Now I have also heard about the fact there there are no oil derricks available. Well, maybe we should build more. Once again Job creation.

Nuclear technology. What an expensive and potentially dangerous way to boil water, but we do need to utilize this technology with all of the others. Why not use this? Build Nuclear Power Plants and let’s create jobs building them and staffing them.

Alternative fuels and technologies. We need to be researching this. Sure, it will help save the planet or whatever, maybe even help keep us from funding people who want to kill us. It needs to be cheaper so we can afford it. We can’t while paying $4 for a gallon of gasoline.

Here’s another idea. Why not have just ONE grade of gasoline?

So, what is congress doing? Nothing. H.R. 6566 has been sent to a subcommittee. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi will try to introduce her own bill in the next several weeks. Watch for this to be partisan and to only focus on “green” energies while they try to make the oil companies drill where there is no oil.

It’s time that they be honest with the American people and tell us what their agenda is. It seems that if the Democrat leadership will not allow a vote on an energy policy, they are wanting you to be mad and pissed off about the price of gas that you MUST have to go anywhere. At that point they will blame everyone but themselves for standing in the way of moving towards energy independence and the only way we can do that is to use our full resources available to us.

If you haven’t already, call your congressman and senator and ask them what they are doing about the price of gas. I am lucky to have a representative who gives a damn enough to introduce legislation that establishes an energy policy instead of doing the same things over and over and then blaming republicans. If worse comes to worse, send Representative Pelosi a drill bit. Maybe once they are voted out of their little perch, they will see how selfish they have been and not thinking in the big picture. Maybe then they will have an approval rating of more than 9%

Discuss this article on the phatooine.net message boards.
