Review by Captain Obvious
Will Smith, this guy has evolved so much from the clean rapper and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. After watching his latest offering, Hancock, I can only say that he followed up his role in “I Am Legend” brilliantly. Read more

I never got into the old TV show. In fact, I have never seen an episode and after the movie I’m not sure that I will. While that may sound a bit harsh and odd considering the review I will be giving it, I believe it will make perfect sense in the end. Read more
2 commentsReview: The Shield 1.01
The Shield. Anyone who has seen this show can tell you that this is, if nothing else, an exciting show. While it is difficult to get involved with this show mid season or even mid series, it is well worth the entertainment value to buy season 1 on DVD. Season One introduces us to the main characters and sets up the thematic elements and overall plot for the rest of the series.

Film Reviews: The Happening
The Happening
Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, and John Leguizamo
Written and Directed by: M. Night Shyamalan
I believe I have to preface this by saying that I’ve always been a fan of Shyamalan’s work. Even in films that I would never watch again like Lady in the Water, he has a very distinct style that distinguishes him from any other filmmaker. As you read reviews for his work, you’ll find that most hate it by now and consider The Sixth Sense (and maybe Unbreakable) as a fluke. Myself, I’ve always liked it. The Happening, to me, is no different. It is perhaps a touch more public friendly than Lady in the Water was but in all it is far too quirky and vague to gain a very strong following.

You Don’t Mess With The Zohan
Starring: Adam Sandler, John Turturro, Emanuelle Chriqui, and Rob Schneider
Written by: Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, and Judd Apatow
Directed by: Dennis Dugan
You know, I’ve always been an Adam Sandler fan. I loved him on the SNL series, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and a few of his other movies. I had heard people talking in line that this movie was going to hearken back to that kind of comedy, even though the trailer wasn’t all that funny. Simply put, I was in the mood for a good comedy when I went to the theater. I even asked the person behind the counter if it was good and she said it was a lot like the old Adam Sandler movies. Needless to say, she was lucky she wasn’t in sight when the movie was over.

Film Review: What Happens In Vegas.

What Happens In Vegas
Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Cameron Diaz, and Dennis Miller
Written by: Dana Cox
Directed by: Tom Vaughan
Looking at the previews, I would have thought “great, another romantic comedy that I will be bored with”. Add in another negative that it stars Ashton Kutcher and it gives you a case of nausea before you even buy the tickets.
