Phatooine Presents: SecondViews began as a side project to a side project. Paul Talon is an aspiring author who has been writing fan-fiction as well as original works which fall under the banner of Worlds of Oros.

Paul Talon was the Head Administrator of Phatooine.net (under the screename, soxtalon), which started as a Star Wars Message Board and developed into a nice community which broke beyond the barriers of just Star Wars.

Paul and many others at Phat had been long toying with the idea of creating content for Phatooine but for one reason or another it was put off in favor of other technical pursuits or message board pursuits.

On his own Paul decided to take his extremely limited technical abilities and see if he could develop his own content site based on what he had planned eventually for Phat as a sort of test run.

So taking some server space on his WorldsofOros site, Paul developed a site he called SecondViews in February of 2008. His goal was to review things twice over in order to see how second views of media would possibly change how he viewed said media.

He knew he wanted to take glances at some of his favorite sagas and music. He also knew that some extra content might be developed for the extra special sagas. So he developed a few SubSections, the main one being SecondViews: V.

He developed content along the way, and soon after resigned as Head Admin as Phatooine for numerous reasons, part of which was to concentrate more on SecondViews. It was soon after his retirement that he figured, he had a successful build of a site. Why not offer this content to Phatooine? It would be beneficial to both sites, as Phatooine would gain immediate content, and SecondViews would gain an instant readership, as well as potential SecondStaffers.

The idea was well received by the owners and current Head staff at Phatooine, and thus Phatooine Presents: SecondViews was born.

The focus has shifted slightly with the reboot, SecondViews could simply mean reviews of shows may have more than one review. Eventually, there will also still be the SecondViews of the media, but FirstViews are going to take precedent until we are completely established.

Furthermore, more SubSections will be developed, including some that are Phat-specific, such as sections for the Phat Times quarterly publication, and spaces for the creative works of Phatooine Members.

In addition, Phatooine:SecondViews will strive to be an open content for users. Should a user like to help SecondViews in anyway, whether it be contributing reviews or helping to develop a SubSection that they themselves might want to maintain, simply submit your ideas, and upon acceptance, Paul would be glad to help you develop and maintain to let you be a part of Phatooine Presents: SecondViews.
