DC Comics published 18 issues of V starting in February of 1985 and July of 1986. After the weekly television series was canceled the comic’s sales started decreasing. At one point, editor Marv Wolfman said that they were attempting to get permission from Warner Bros. to conclude the cliffhanger. Whether or not they were denied permission, or chose not to go that route, they never did and a year later they concluded their run.
