  • TIMELINE 1:

Martin is the twin brother to Philip.  Martin is a Lt. in the Visitor army, and a line officer.  It is his voice that is the first to make initial contact with the “citizens of the planet Earth”.  Martin soon after meets Mike Donovan and begins to bond with him.  Later on, when Donovan got captured while trying to board the mothership again, Diana wanted to execute him.  Martin stepped in and suggested that he be converted instead.  After using a touch of reverse psychology, he got Diana to agree to attempt to convert him.  Soon after while guiding Donovan back to his cell, he revealed himself as a Fifth Columnist, against the Leader’s plans.  He told Donovan he couldn’t talk to him now, but he would help him escape.

Martin sent Barbara to help Donovan get off ship.

Later on when Donovan snuck back aboard the mothership, he found Martin and the two had time to talk.  Martin revealed to Donovan that they were here to take the water, and take humans for food and for soldiers against an enemy that had defeated them before.

Donovan asked Martin to find his son Sean.  Martin agreed to help and also gets Robin Maxwell to Donovan as he’s leaving, telling him that she was being used to force her father into helping them.

After the resistance came up with the plan to hijack the L.A. Medical Center announcement, Donovan charged Martin with keeping the broadcast on the air, and providing a skyfighter for them to escape in.  Martin recruits Lorraine to do just that and it works perfectly.

Martin finds Sean but can’t get to him, forcing Donovan to send Kristine in.   Martin is tapped by Donovan to help them get Julie back.  He helped Donovan and Ham come up with a plan.  While Julie is being converted, he sent in Barbara, in a Donovan skin to try to rescue Julie.  Barbara is killed but in death, Martin “discovered” that she was a Visitor.  Using this as a means to an end, Martin suggested moving top priority prisoners to Earth until the ship could be contained.

Martin then accompanied Julie down and took a shot in the leg in order to maintain his cover.

After Diana got a hold of Sean and traded him to the resistance for Donovan, Martin wanted to be side by side while Diana used truth serum on him.  Under the truth serum, Donovan gave Martin up, so Martin killed the guard and shot at Diana but missed.  Martin helped Donovan escape by parachuting off the mothership.

Martin then stayed ground side keeping touch with the Fifth Column on Earth.  Once rumor spread about the production of a super weapon, Martin contacted Donovan and warned him of the possibility of nuclear holocaust.

Martin argued against the plan, but he was overruled.  For the Final Battle, Martin brought in weapons, uniforms, and a battalion of Fifth Columnists to join in the attack on the mothership.  Martin joined Donovan, Julie, and Lorraine in trying to get the mothership out of the Earth’s atmosphere so it could suvive Diana’s nuclear blast.

After the Final Battle, Martin returned to Earth and became Donovan’s assistant cameraman, replacing Tony Leonetti as his partner.  The two of them cover Science Frontier’s work on the capture mothership and also were set to cover Diana’s trial.  Martin argued that Diana didn’t deserve a trial and that their justice was much quicker.

After Diana’s supposed assassination, Donovan and Martin grabbed a chopper and followed an ambulance, discovering that it was a fake and that Diana was being brought somewhere.  At night they came back with cameras to get the story, but Martin let his emotions get the better of him.  He knocked Donovan out and then apologized, saying this needed to be done.  Martin entered the building and planned on assassinating Diana, but the guard knocked him down.  In the struggle Diana grabbed Martin’s laser and forced the Fifth Columnist to give her his last remaining red dust antidote.

After Diana escaped, Martin crawled back to Donovan, dying from the red dust.  He confessed to Donovan and died in his arms.

    TIMELINE 1B:
After the Final Battle, Martin and Donovan are forced to search through the loyalist Visitors to find some that will be able to help them fix the mothership to return to Earth. After they returned to Earth, the resistance and Fifth Columnists including Martin was arrested by some collaborators who were acting without instruction. Martin helped the resistance break free, return the rightful governor to power and helped re-captured Diana.

    TIMELINE 2:

After helping Donovan escape the mothership and also explaining why the Visitors were truly there, Martin stayed on as a Fifth Columnist.  He survived the Great Purge of 1999, and continued doing what he could along with Willy from the mothership.

Martin soon discovered that Diana had a special prisoner.  Martin, along with help from Wily and the half-breed janitor, Jon, helped break him free.  They later discovered it was Donovan.  Martin helped Jon out with whatever educational data sticks he could give him as he was impressed with the intelligence of the boy.  After the failed attack on the Leader, Diana turned on Martin, and took him prisoner along with the rest of the resistance.  He was placed in a stasis chamber until the remaining resistors were able to break them free and they took over the mothership.

Martin was then placed in charge of getting the rest of the human prisoners back.

  • TIMELINE 1:

Philip is the twin brother of Martin.  Upon Charles’ death and Diana’s blaming Lydia, Philip is tapped by the Leader to restore order.  Philip is the Inspector General which puts him in charge of the trial and of the fleet.  Philip places both Diana and Lydia under arrest, until forensics discovered Marta’s fingerprints on the bottle of poison used to kill Charles.

After Diana faked a holo-video of Marta threatening to kill him,  Philip sentenced Marta to death.  He stayed around, in charge of the fleet as he decided he would use this time to track down Donovan, whom he believed killed his brother Martin.  Diana does nothing to dissuade this.

After Diana bungled a plot to kill the resistance by leaking false information about the mentamorph, a Visitor mind control device.  The Fifth Column trigged the explosive too early and also stole the crystals that powered the mothership’s lasers.

Philip decides to track down the Fifth Columnists himself and hopefully they will lead him to Donovan.  Diana assigns Philip an escort who turns out to be Angela, a former pupil of Philip’s who he drummed out of the officer training for being too vicious.  Angela does not like him and he does not like her so Diana orders her to kill both Philip and Donovan.

They track them down to a warehouse.  Angela wanted to rush and kill everyone, while Philip preferred to stand it off.  He warned Angela that under no circumstance will the child of the Fifth Columnist be killed.

After a blitz, he challenged Donovan to single combat.  If Donovan won, they’d all go free.   Donovan agreed and the two battled with Donovan spouting off that Martin had been his friend.  Philip wouldn’t believe it.  Donovan eventually gained the upper-hand and could have killed him, but he didn’t.  Philip agreed to let them go but Angela won’t hear of it.   She told Philip that Diana had killed Martin and was about to shoot them both when Glenda shot her.

Philip and Donovan shook hands and parted as friends.

He proved his friendship by warning Donovan of a blitz the Leader planned using a sophisticated computer program.  Despite arousing suspicion from Diana and Lydia, Philip also stole the plan so that the resistance could counteract it with their own computer.

He also then helped spring a Dr. Atkins, who the Visitors originally thought was a hacker interfering with the mothership computer and reunite him with his son Henry.

Not too long afterwards Philip discovered a dying Fifth Columnist in the hallways.  He confessed to Philip that he hid a list which contained the leaders of the Fifth Columnists, but he died before he could say where.  The only hint he gave was “the volcano”.

Philip informed Donovan and Julie who decide to sneak aboard the ship and look as the Fifth Column was stretched pretty thin.

Meanwhile it is the feast of Ramadan, and Diana had a vicious plan.  She brought in Lydia’s brother, Nigel from the home planet.  Nigel immediately became the youngest Visitor officer, and thus the planned sacrifice for the Feast.  Lydia pleaded with Philip to do something about it, even bribed him by telling him of a Fifth Columnist Diana had brainwashed because she thought Philip was a traitor.  She never admitted what she thought, but was happy to tell him what Diana thought.  Philip told her that the only way to stop it was by a unanimous vote of the ship’s three line officers, himself, Lydia, and Diana.  He also told her he would vote to stop it.

Philip provided Donovan and Julie with fake reptile masks so that in case they got caught, they could rip off their faces and reveal themselves to be Visitors.  When Julie is captured, and Donovan and double agent collaborator Dr. Maitland force a distraction, Philip helps them knock out the guards and disappeared, pretending to be dead while they found the list, destroyed the viruses Maitland had been working on, and escaping the ship.

Philip reappeared as Diana was about to sacrifice Nigel.  He tells Diana that he has heard of her accusations against his loyalty.  If she can’t provide proof, he’d be forced to consider in mutiny.  When she offered no proof, he tells her to avoid court marshal, she could change her vote to end the sacrifice.  She changed her vote and stormed off.

Not very long afterwards after a communication with the Leader, Philip ordered a cease fire.  He then went down to Earth to meet with Donovan and company and tell them that it is indeed serious, but that Elizabeth had to meet with the Leader.  The rest of the resistance will have to come as well.  Once on board, Philip and Donovan were now allowed to be friendly.

Philip showed Donovan their dueling with nuclear swords and challenged him to a practice duel with uncharged swords.  Diana of course had different plans, and she had Lt. James charge the swords.  Luckily, the sword goes off when it hits the ground, and no one gets hurt.

When Diana betrayed everyone and tried to destroy the Leader and take over the ship, Philip helped Donovan and Kyle track her down, stopping Diana from escaping as Donovan and Kyle took care of James and the other loyalist guards.

    TIMELINE 1C:

After the culmination of the investigation of Charles’ death, Philip was placed in charge of receiving Prince Bron, the Leader’s son.  After Bron goes to Earth, Philip and the Leader watch from afar trying to determine whether the invasion should be stopped or not.  With help from Philip the Leader decided to cease all hostilities after Bron’s death.

    TIMELINE 1D:

After Kyle stowed away, Philip ordered the cyclopurgers be ready to execute Diana and James.   Philip discovered the bomb planted on the Leader’s shuttle and offered Diana a full pardon if she deactivated it.  Diana claims innocence and the shuttle exploded.  Somehow Diana used this to get in charge again, jailing the resistance, and claiming that Philip was in cahoots with them.

Philip met with Diana and Lydia to discuss his future and maintains his innocence.  Diana and Lydia agree to settle the matter later on.

When the resistance tried to escape and Elizabeth showed up out of the blue and then disappeared again, Philip handpicks soldiers to help track her down.  Of course he noticed Donovan, Kyle, etc. dressed as pilots.  They go with him to his quarters.  They decide to take Philip “hostage” to get out.   After the resistance escaped, Philip maintained his superior officer and told both women that he is not accountable to them.
