Michael Trucco cast as John May
by Paul Talon on Feb.13, 2010, under Uncategorized
Even though I don’t consider this site to be a news or spoiler type site, I thought this was big enough to post. Michael Trucco, better known as Sam Anders in Battlestar Galactica has been cast as the mysterious John May, the mythical leader of the Fifth Column as mentioned by Ryan.
I liked Trucco in BSG so it’s definitely a cool addition. Although, I did think that the character really seemed perfect for an homage casting of one of the original V cast (Marc Singer or even more appropriately Frank Ashmore) but we’ll have to see how it all develops.
I guess it was also a good time to note that I haven’t disappeared! Just waiting for V to continue on March 30th where I will be waiting to review and to add to the character database!

The title of an episode has never been more apt. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite touted this way in hype. It was touted as a big reveal and a bigger cliffhanger. Those didn’t quite develop as much as was hyped, and the first pod of the series ended as a big prologue of sorts, but that isn’t a bad thing. There was enough revealed and character developed that it was a worthy end for 2009. The only problem is that the wait til March 2010 might drop off too many viewers to sustain itself.

An episode that rebounded quite nice from Second Episoditis. This episodes begins shaping character arcs as well as exploring bits and pieces of humanity and their reactions as this “friendly” invasion draws out. This episode also increases the action and the drama as we build towards the final episode of 2009. I must say that I still whole heartedly disagree with ABCs approach to stop after episode four and restart in the spring. But we’ll see what happens. There were a few plot holes/negatives to the episode but overall it was highly successful.

New Trailers/Promo Spots for V arriving November 3rd!
In a stupid boneheaded decision by ABC, they’ve decided to air four episodes before putting the show on hiatus until March, after the Olympics. What? How the heck they expect the show to get the kind of foothold it will need to get people excited to come back in four months in just four weeks is beyond me.
But here are the ads. Here’s hoping for a smash up four episodes!

According to Variety, the genre pro, Jeffrey Bell (Angel, X-Files, etc.) will serve as the show runner for V.
Scribe Jeff Bell has signed an overall deal at Warner Bros. Television, where he’ll serve as showrunner for the studio’s upcoming ABC drama “V.”
As part of the two-year, seven-figure deal, Bell will focus his attention immediately on “V,” but he will also work on development down the road.
