2.10 – “Mother’s Day”

It would be a pretty crappy series finale, but a fun and intriguing season finale! It was a bloodbath of major proportions and a nice setup for a season three. There is nothing slow about this episode. The decision is made quickly to overthrow Anna and reinstate Diana to Queendom. The plan is simple. Fake a kidnapping of Lisa, forcing Anna to come down to Earth whereupon Anna will be killed by the one person she wouldn’t suspect – Lisa.

Uneasy indeed. It seems that everyone is making darker and darker choices. The only one who seems to be struggling with it all is Jack but it’s working. Erica and company have to find a way to stop Anna from collecting the DNA she needs to make interbreeding possible. They come up with a plan to plant a DNA bomb by infecting one of the Live Aboards with a made virus that will corrupt the DNA pool.

A bit slower after the frenetic pace of the past two episodes but slower doesn’t mean bad. In fact it was a nice slight break that still was able to propel the show forward still. Erica began to solidify her hold over the fifth column army, soothing over those other lieutenants who are hestiant to follow her despite Fiero asserting that she was Eli’s hand picked successor.

An episode that worked on just about every level. A true home run. For those wanting more action. Check. For those wanting more drama. Check. For those wanting to move a story forward. Check. For those who just wanted to see Erica slap the hell out of Tyler for being an ass. Check.
