“Implosion”

“Implosion” was an episode that is attempting to get the show going in the right direction. The most important thing the show needs right now is a recurring villain. Someone for our agents to match up with in the attempt to gain control of these artifacts.
“Implosion” provides that in the form of Roger Rees, a former colleague of Artie who is attempting to get a sword which when held the proper angle can make the wielder invisible.
We also get a little more dirt on Artie. It seems that Artie was once accused of passing on information to the Soviets, but it was all covered up by Mrs. Frederick.
The problem is the execution. It’s sloppy and done in a matter where I don’t really care how they react or in some cases why the characters react the way they do.
The whole team is starting to gel a bit, but they have a long way to go before they become a great team to watch. There’s moments of boringness, there’s moments of disbelief, and there are moments of pure crapdom. But there is some heart that is making me continue to watch hoping they figure it all out.
It certainly could be worse, but I do wonder if it can ever get better than mediocre.
ITEMS OF THE WEEK:
1. HONJO MASAMUNE – Ancient Japanese sword that when held at the right angle makes the weilder invisible.
2. IMPLOSION GRENADE – A grenade that does not explode out, instead it sucks people in.
3. DISINTIGRATOR RAY – Like it sounds.
4. ICEFLOWER – Chinese firework that meserises user for ten minutes.
