Film Review: Step Brothers

Step Brothers

Starring: Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Mary Steenburgen, Richard Jenkins

Written by: Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, John C. Reilly

Directed by: Adam McKay

Has there ever been a better comedy duo than Willl Ferrell and John C. Reilly? Absolutely, and there have been many of them. I’m not going to ridicule this movie as I laughed most of the way through it. In fact, this is the exact type of movie that fits these guys.

Will Ferrell is a 39 year old man who still lives at home with his mom. John C. Reilly is a 40 year old man who lives at home with his Dad. It’s not a Brady Bunch moment when the parents meet and quickly get married. Then the hilarity quickly builds as they have to adapt. From sleepwalking, to intentionally annoying each other and threatening, it is absolutely hilarious watching old men act like 10 year olds.

This is kind of where the movie lost its humor for about 20 minutes. They started acting serious. There were some laughs, but nothing like before. The ending, was ok, it was just not what I would consider to be the greatest ending and that is why I have to give it a

B

It’s definitely a see in the theater(if you want comedy) and own on video.
