News: Eddie Murphy back as Axel Foley
Variety reports that Eddie Murphy and director Brett Ratner (”Rush Hour” trilogy) will team up for “Beverly Hills Cop 4,” a film to be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura (”Transformers,” “G.I. Joe”). Shooting will begin in 2009 for a summer 2010 release. Paramount Pictures will handle distribution. A writer will be hired shortly.
The trade reports that Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the first three films, will not actively be involved with the film.
